Volcano Designs is a fast-growing San Diego based apparel label specializing in sustainable retro goods. We pride ourselves on our ethical and local manufacturing practices. We are sweatshop free and independently audit all of our manufacturing partners.

We make most garments to order and we ensure everything being made to our highest standards and that our manufacturers are taken care of througout the process. We are sweatshop free and strive to keep the smallest carbon footprint possible so you can feel good about the people and processes behind your purchase.

Most of our fabrics are woven, knitted, and dyed in Los Angeles. A large percentage of our fabric is made from cotton grown and processed domestically. We also use some fabrics made with GOTS certified and domestically grown organic cotton. All of our knit fabrics are made locally in the surrounding Los Angeles area. We use almost exclusively 100% cotton fabrics and any non-cotton fabrics we use are comprised of recycled yarns. We use low impact and non-toxic dyes in our dye processes. Any screen printing ink we use is waterbased. Custom, allover printed cotton is digitally printed but typically made in France or China.

We use recycled poly bags for everything-- clear bags for storage, mailers for packages, etc. Some are compostable. We hope to switch to something even more sustainable in the future-- we are always looking into new options that work for both our needs and the safety, storage, and transport of the garments.

We work hard to make a product you can feel confident in-- not only when you wear it, but knowing where it comes from and how its been made. We work very hard to make something for as many people as possible.
